MuseScore refuses to play a section of my score...why is that?
And is it possible to import 4 into 3 as it was so much more reliable?

You can export in Mu4 to MusicXML and then import that in Mu3
Can you post the score so we can test?

Thanks for replying. It was my fault. I put two repeats in one place....which must have confused it!
