Tuplet abbreviation

Scores featuring repetitive tuplets often make use of the abbreviation shown in the picture. In this example, the abbreviation is a shorthand for writing 12 8th note tuplets. This greatly increases the readability of the score and stops the notation from getting in the way of the musician.

A possible implementation could be as an option in the properties of tuplets to show them abbreviated.

You can do this already.

  • Select a quarter.
  • Ctrl+3 to make it a triplet of three eighths.
  • Enter a dotted quarter on the first eighth.
  • Add a tremolo from the palette.

Then CTRL+R to replicate if needed.
