Properties panel display

I've been a little frustrated with the MS4 properties panel, which seems to split many of the properties that I constantly access between remote places, e.g. between General and Settings tabs, or between the 'normal' portion and the 'more' portion. I can undock the properties panel, but I don't see any systemwide option that says "display a giant properties window". I use two large displays, and have plenty of room to see every property at once. (Perhaps this is a feature that already exists; I've often failed to notice some basic functionality that already does exactly what I want.)

Examples: 1) When dealing with chord symbols, and setting some with style 'alternate chord symbol', I need to click 'more' to get the style dropdown. I need to do this each time I want to change a chord symbol style. 2) When creating and editing fretboard diagrams, I must flip back and forth between tabs to adjust fret position and dot styles, something I need to do on every diagram. (Creating Ted Greene style grids as an alternative to tablature or detailed fingering notation can help communicate complex left hand fingering for teaching and reference.) Similar segregation of properties appears with many other elements.

Thanks for any input. I realize that, on a small laptop or for a new user, the simpler properties panel is probably a big help; but on large screens I wish I could see everything at once, without extra mouse clicks.
