Notation for syncopated notes?
I'm arranging a song with syncopated notes, but I'm not sure which way is better to notate. In option 1 you can see the downbeat but it looks messy to me, and in option 2 it is cleaner but you can't see where the beat is so it might be hard to read. How should I write it?
Thanks,
Elyiana

For me. option 2 works.
I find Option 2 easier to read.
Option 2 please :-)
Option 1 would make sense for beats aligned with the time signature, but is unnecessarily cluttered for sub-beats like here.
My preference is option 3, where unnecessary 16ths are replaced by eighths.
