Shortcuts on Azerty Keyboards are a mess... again
Musescore 4.0 was kinda fine for azerty users, but the recent update and even yesterday's patch messed everything up once again...
Shift+Number to select note values isn't working anymore, as is Shift+. for dotted notes.

With an AZERTY keyboard, you need indeed shift to get a proper number when typing a text, but MuseScore 3 is smart enough to undertand the non-shiftted keys as well as duration shortcut (é " ' ... on a Belgian keyboard e.g.)

You could edit the shortcut?

I went and edited the shortcuts.xml as I have to do after every update that messes up this, but the problem is deeper than that - it won't even recognize the key combination now.
exactly the same problem here...
Did you try resetting those shortcuts to the defaults in Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts? In theory that should fix any issues caused by out-of-date shortcut definitions.

I did, but it still doesn't work

Strange: On Ubuntu 22.04 with a Belgian Azerty keyboard, shift + number works as expected.
This should be fixed in 4.3.1
