Palette problem (MU4 and MU3.7)
Hello,
When using the palettes with F9 I have in the each palette an option "more" to select additional items or to create new measure numbers for instance.
When starting the palettes with ctrl - F9 (what I use mostly) there is no option "more"
Any option to get that option more always?
Tested in 3.7 and latest version 4

Ctrl+F9 does nothing for me that a plain F9 wouldn't do also in Mu3.7, and nothing at all in M4 (except also starting DeepL)
Do you mean Shift+F9? That brings up the master palette, and there all palettes are complete, hence no 'more' button

If I understand it correctly Ctrl + F9 should be used for searching the palette.
As soon as I use the search the option "more" is not available anymore.

Well, that'd search even in the more section, so no reason to show it

Hmm, OK, IMHO that should search there but doesn't. Seems a bug, please report in GitHub, https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/new/choose

I could do the github report but have a hard time understanding what is happening.
Nobody responded to this. https://musescore.org/en/node/357906

After some more using it I can explain my different use of F9 vs Ctrl F9
When editing I use Ctrl F9 for fast switching between palette items without having the palettes open.
(I have a small 14'' screen)
example
Ctrl + F9 fer = gives me staccato
Ctrl + F9 vol = repeat volta
Ctrl + F9 art = articulations
etc.
Kind of like popovers in dorico
When using only F9 that does not work as it is toggle.
F9 = open palettes
next F9 = close paletts
Ctrl F9 = always opens F9 and start the search for me in 3.7
Maybe I'm not looking at the right place. I see that ctrl+F9 is supposed to search palettes. But it doesn't. I don't think that matters because the palette has it's own search box. Right next to where it says "Add Palettes". Can't say I've ever had to search for any particular palette item, though.

Hello,
For me it's not about search but about fast selecting.
In MU3 I use it to get any palette item very fast using keyboard without opening and clicking all palettes.
It is the fastest way I know without much mouse clicking.
