Hiding instrument but keeping playback
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.3.0-241231433, revision: 5f36e74
I am wishing to hide a drum(kit) part I have written but still hear its playback.
The handbook says:
"Hiding a staff but keeping its playback
1.(Mandatory) Click on a staff label (E.g. "Treble clef"), but not its instrument."
I take that to mean that I click on the 2 slash lines that represent the drum clef. Then:
"2.Click its Eye icon."
That successfully hides the drum kit but also silences the playback.
Could someone please enlighten me as to which bit of the explanation I have obviously completely misunderstood? Thank you.

By NOT following the Handbook I managed it!
The "staff label" and the "Eye icon" are not the "2 slash lines that represent the drum clef". Instead they are items in the Instrument tab at the upper left of the MuS window. Assuming you are using MuS4. If you're on MuS3, it'll be different.
