Fretboard Palette

I am having issues when using the fretboard palette. at times it works fine, others not so much. The issue is this: when I modify a chord shape and then want to save it back to my palette, sometimes that works just fine, but other times (seemingly when I start a new score and load the palette), then it will not let me save a new shape to the palette. I get the circle/bar symbol, and it will not save. the other piece to the puzzle is, when I CAN save the chord, there are times when the graphic doesn't show up in the palette. I can do a mouse over and see the chord name, but cant see the chord shape in the palette. I tried creating a new blank palette for Mandolin chords, couldn't save anything to it. I Found a palette of Mando chords online someone else had created, and was able to load it, and save to it......for a while. it too comes and goes like the fretboard palette. Pretty frustrating. I have tried closing and restarting the program, deleting and recreating the palette, nothing seems to work. Any Help??
