Pitches higher, Audio Laggy, Tempo Too Fast
When I first downloaded Musescore Studio 4, there were a few bugs that plagued me. Every instrument, regardless of soundfont or choice, was pitched up two or three octaves. In addition, the audio for each note crackled and lagged the speed of the track. The tempo was significantly sped up as well. In order to get a BPM of around 120, I had to set the BPM to 30. These issues fixed upon the program hard crashing.
However, the program has crashed once again, and the issues have come back up. If any help could be provided, that would be appreciated.

Does your computer meet the proper specs?
Have you been plugging and unplugging headphones while MU4 is running? Including bluetooth.?
Have you checked the settings here" https://musescore.org/en/node/339915

Yes, my computer meets the proper specs.
No, I have not been plugging and unplugging my headphones, and they aren't connected by bluetooth. The audio on the rest of my computer works perfectly fine, it is only MuseScore with these issues.
Thanks for posting the help page. I tried everything there, and nothing fixes it.
It seems the only thing that has fixed it before is for the program to hard crash.

Just double checking, you raised the buffer and lowered the bit rate. And turned off exclusive mode.
How about Help>Revert to factory defaults? What happens if you leave the mixer open?
Yes, your other programs run fine. But they are not MuseScore.

Yes, I did. Factory revert did nothing, and having either the mixer open or closed doesn't affect it.

And on the same page in I/O where you raised the buffer to 4096, you also changed the audio device to the name of your device and not just Default. Sometimes there isn't a choice. I have seen your problem come up before. Each time, it seems to be something different that fixes it.

The buffer is set to 4096, and the audio device is set to my own device. Still doesn’t affect anything. The only thing that has fixed this in the past is the program crashing.
Make sure your audio device is set to 44.1 kHz, or at least make sure your OS is allowing individual applications to set the audio device sample rate. Some systems lock the audio device to a rate that isn't supported by MuseScore.

I've tried many different avenues to help fix the sampling rate, and am unable to change it whatsoever. I saw in an older Github discussion that there were plans to add a sampling rate changer into Musescore Studio 4 itself. Is this still going to be happening?

Yes, it is unchecked. I am unable to change the sampling rate setting to anything else than 96khz. I've tried asking around if there are ways to brute force the change, but so far have come up with nothing.

Thanks for the screen shot.
So you are saying that when you select the down arrow in the setting window, nothing happens. I've never seen that in the many devices I've tried to adjust. MuseScore is never going to run with the setting that high.
As I understand it this is add on software? Do you have the latest drivers for it? Do you have a different device you could experiment with? I suspect that using your computer's Audio device will be more than good enough for MuseScore.

Ok, thanks. It was the software that ended up messing up the sampling rate. Thanks for the help!

Great. Good luck.
