Note input using a MIDI keyboard

When I try to input notes using a MIDI keyboard (a Yamaha Silent piano SH3 SC3) all the notes I play are entered at the same place as if they were a single chord instead of being separate notes. Maybe it is because I didn't put the right values in Edit > Preferences ? In this case, please recommend me the right values.
