Delete Key does not delete the selected object on version 4.4.3
The Delete key does not delete the selected object. The Backspace still works for delete, but not the Delete key. Looking at the default shortcut definition for delete, both the Backspace key and the Delete Key are included. I tried to fix this by clearing the shortcut definition and adding the delete key, but that failed. I also noticed that one cannot add both the backspace and the delete key to the shortcut. Finally, I tried exporting the shortcut definitions and making the change in the exported XML file and importing it. That also did not work.

Delete key still works here as expected, in version 4.4.3 as in previous versions (Windows 10 here, and AZERTY keyboard)
Go back to Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts / Find and Select the Delete shortcut, then click on Reset to Default (bottom right of dialog).
On a Mac? IIRC there it is normal and documented that instead of Del you need to use Backspace

Then I may remember wrongly. Or the handbook is wrong

See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/note-input#delete-notes, for Mu3, I don't see why that should be different for Mu4

So, you'll have to ask other Mac users to find out for sure.

I should have stated that I am using a Mac with a Macally keyboard. I've been using MuseScore for quite some time and the Delete key works fine in previous versions of MuseScore (both 3 and 4). I added a screenshot of the shortcut definition for delete and you can see both keys are in the definition.

Both keys are on the shortcuts because on some Del doesn't work or even exist so Backspace is needed

On MacOS 13.5.2 with an Apple Extended Keyboard:
The delete key (backspace key, located above the Pipe key) works fine in MS4.4.3 and every previous version
The delete key (forward delete on the numeric keypad, with an icon containing an x) works in every previous version of MuseScore but I can confirm it is NOT working in MS4.4.3

Somewhat related ... on MacOS
Command + forward delete no long works to delete measures.
Command + Backspace(delete) does work to delete measures, though I don't remember that as an option in previous releases.
Unrelated, other than being MacOS shortcut bugs:
• Add>Measures>Insert before selection menus shows the following tooltip, but does nothing
• The t shortcut doesn't tie notes. The toolbar button is currently the only resort.

T is a known issue, just readd the shortcut

Thanks. I thought so.

I checked of course, but found it listed. Doesn't work so I figured it was a bug.

Just readd it and it'll work

Define it again to 'T', even if it already exists. This is the meaning of readd.

That worked.
Thank you for detecting my misunderstanding!
There's work is in progress on one of the Mac delete key issues.
