Corrupted file

• Jan 23, 2025 - 20:56

3 hours ago, I was writing a piece of music, and when I wanted to continue, corrupted file appeared. Can you please help me with that? It was really important.

There is some chance that the file is recoverable, but also some chance that it is not. Be aware of this and hope, but don't get those hopes too high :-)

See the following three How-Tos for information on recovering corrupt files:
How to fix MuseScore 4 corrupted files
Deal with the new Corruption Dialog on Save
How to fix a score that contains corruptions

See the following two How-Tos for information on finding backup files:
How to recover a backup copy of a score
How to recover a backup copy of a score (1.x)

If none of this helps, post again (here!) with additional information. Identify your computer's OS and version. Identify the version of MuseScore you have installed (Help / About MuseScore Studio, then click the Copy button (two pieces of paper) next to "Revision". Attach the corrupted file to your post. Describe what you have tried (from the How-Tos above and anything else you tried) and what responses you got.

Include LOTS of detail. It's very difficult to include too much information but very easy to include too little.

Good luck!!!

I tried to unzip it but it doesn't seem to work. I also tried to recover a backup file (with the comma at the end of the name), but once again, it shows "corrupted file".
I lowkey give up, nothing seems to work. If any of you are expert in the technical side of MuseScore, you can try to do something with this file :(
For information, I have Windows 10 and I use Musescore 4.4.4

Hi Tomek! I'm glad your score was recovered successfully. Can you attach your diagnostics files please so we can troubleshoot? Menu Diagnostics -> Save Diagnostic Files.
