Key signatures driving me nuts...
Afternoon all.
I'm trying to set out a two-part piece for two Bb trumpets in D major but Musecore keeps changing the key signature to E major and throwing naturals everywhere and it is driving me to distraction.
I'm guessing that I have probably done something wrong but can't tell what. Any guidance would be gratefully received.

This score is in C major. See the flute, the only non transposing instrument in this example.
The alto saxophone is an Eb instrument and written in A major.
The horn is an F instrument and is notated in G major.
And the trumpet is a Bb instrument and is notated in D major.
In my example, all instruments play in a C major score and all instruments play the same pitch - A4!
And Musescore automatically does it right.
Toggle concert pitch, bottom right in the MuseScore window?
Bb trumpts in D Major do get notated in E Major, being transposing instruments. If you want them to show D Major, use C Major

Oh, that's interesting and thank you so much. This software is so very confusing!

Any software is confusing on first exposure. But this issue isn't something about the software that's confusing. This issue is music notation being confusing. :-)
