Corrupted File/Score Recovery
Hello! There's a semi-completed score I started composing when I first using MuseScore Studio. Since I wasn't too knowledgeable on how everything worked at the time I accidentally ended up saving the score as "mscx" desktop file. Since then, whenever I try to open it, it reads "File 'Desktop.autosave' is corrupted" and "This file contains errors that could cause MuseStudio to malfunction." I used to still be able to click "open anyway" and access the score but now I can't. I've tried restarting my computer and logging out and going back in, but nothing is currently working. I'm just wondering if there is any way I can access it again just so that I can copy it and paste it to a new score and save it because I've gotten pretty far in the writing process and wouldn't like to lose it, or do I have to start from square one? Thank you.

Well, we need first you to attach this score (.mscz file) so we can help you and tell you more.

In trying to attach the file it asked if I wanted to try and view it. I clicked yes and it popped up without any warning. So, I'm going to copy and paste it on a new score and get rid of the corrupted one. Thank you so much and I'M SO SORRY for the confusion.

Think copying and pasting to a new score will get rid of corruption? Maybe, maybe not, or partially. It depends on the nature and severity of the corruption. If you need us, we're here and know how to attach a file. Good luck.
