Parts from scores and part names - latest version issues
Hi, anyone having problems with the latest version just installed this morning.
This score has 5 parts but when looking at them, one part is a blank sheet, another is a copy of the full score, another is just the title blocks. Any thoughts on why this has happened please - I haven't done anything differently as far as I know.
And where do those part names come from - I know I can change them in the Parts dialogue box but they aren't the stave name or short name.
Finally in the Parts dialoge box there's no Delete option as it says in the manual. Just Duplicate, Rename and Reset (what does Reset even mean?).
Thanks for any help,
Ian

At this stage, I don't know what you've done exactly. If you start from a new base, deleting the parts, then recreating them, everything goes as expected.

For the record, in the Handbook: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/parts

Thanks for your reply. As I said there isn't a delete option despite what it says in the handbook. Only Duplicate, Rename and Reset.

Indeed, for default instruments. But there is a Delete option in the very last part (“Part”) that you created afterwards - image below.
The parts were deleted when I opened the score with the unofficial version 3.7 Evolution. You can also do this by unzipping the file and editing the resulting .mscx file.
I took a closer look at your score. What's particularly noticeable is that the main score seems to have been that of the Horn 1 part (you can clearly see the instrument name) which you would have edited, showing all the instruments. I doubt that the latest version is the cause of such a disturbance.
I'd rather argue for false maneuvers in the management of these parts. Unless, of course, you are able to reproduce such behavior step by step. In that case, don't hesitate to let us know.
