Getting MuseScore to play 1st time (or 2nd time only) on repeats
When using repeats, how can we have a part play 1st time only or 2nd time only with tacets on on the opposite time played?

He means that you cannot. The only way to do that would be to "unroll" the repeat and NOT include the tacet part in the measures that it's not supposed to play.

I mean you can, just not for playback in MuseScore.
There's a feature request open on GitHub for MuseScore to support it.
