Hey Everyone,
I'm just learning musescore and am attempting to write my first piece. I can't figure out how to get the lyrics lined up. The chord should be at the beginning of the measure with the lyrics starting under it. How do I do that please?

Lyrics are by default centered under their note. You can change that individually via the lyrics' properties or glpobal via their text style setting, or by appending an _

Select the lyrics in question. Go to Properties. Scroll down to Alignment. Select the left icon. That should move the chord to the left. If the lyrics now cross the bar line, you may need to select the measure, right click>Measure properties>increase Layout Stretch until they fit.

OMG bobjp thank you, thank you! I'm lookin' and lookin' for properties. Finally figured it out. It's the inspector, F8, woohoo! Told ya I was brand spankin' new. No idea how to use this app but I NEED to learn it. At least want to real bad. LOL So how do you get the rest of the chords without words to start at the beginning of the measure instead of the middle? I'm sorry I didn't know you could even share a score. Thank you for that Jojo!

You get to do what works for you and those that need to read it. I might be tempted to keep the lyrics on one line. Perhaps put 3 or four spaces after the whole note lyrics, then the word you now have attached to the lower staff. You'll need to make the measures longer again. I'd post my version of the score, but it is in V4.5.1 not 3.6.2.
