Make a note play quieter
Hi, I have some drum ghost notes which I have put in brackets, but they play at the same velocity as accented or normal ones. How do I adjust for the dynamic levels it will play at?
Please note - my inspector does not say "notes" anywhere and I can't find notes in any of the top toolbar drop-downs

Select the note and then look at its properties

Thank you, I have now found the properties of the note by selecting it pressing F8, but these properties are about appearance and I want the MIDI velocity 0-127

I've found it! It's under Notes as everyone said! Thanks

Not really!
Select the note > F8 (Properties) > Playback > Notes > Velocity
The F8 Properties panel only seems to appear once you have pressed F8, so I've been trying to use Musescore for 3 months without knowing it existed. Feedback for the creators - add the Properties tab to appear on startup, along with any other invisible yet vital tabs

The Properties panel by default appears upon installation. At some point, you must have explicitly hidden it which made it hidden by default from that point on, Open the Properties panel, then close the application and it should return to appearing open by default when you relaunch.
