In putting notes
Hi all, can someone give me some instructions on how to do the trebal cleff line? I can't seem to input the half notes and the rest. Do i have to use a different voice?
I am very interested in learning how to do this. Sorry if it's a newbie question and please point me to any documentation that will help me learn this. I wasn't sure what to search for in the hand book.
Thanks very much.

Yes, you must use voice 2. See https://handbook.musescore.org/basics/working-with-multiple-voices
In measure 5 there is a possibility to avoid the second voice because the notes have the same duration. But you can use it anywhere.
See my picture. Voice 1 is blue, voice 2 is green.

You don't need voice 1 to "do the treble clef line". You do however need it to do the bass clef line as Hildek has shown.

Oh yes, the treble clef line is of course no problem; all voice 1. Only in the bass you have to use voice 1 and 2.
