Note input bar vertical instead of horizontal

The note input toolbar has always been horizontal, across the top of the music, but somehow I moved it so that it is now vertical along the side. I can't find how to move it back so that it's horizontal across the top again. I even tried downloading Musescore again (since it has always been set horizontally), but it's still vertical along the side.
