Some note beaming that I can't work out
I'm not a musician and can read music only in a rudimentary sense. But I can sing and am in a choir. The attached image is from the score of an arrangement of Canto de Ossanha that my choir leader has handwritten.
I'm rewriting it in Musescore (hoping to get it ready before our next practise gathering), but can't work out the beaming and note lengths. Also, the time signature is 4/8 but Musescore doesn't have this as an option so I've used 2/4.
I've circled three beamed sets of notes. Can someone explain please how to create them please? If I can do those, I can do the whole score.

Thanks Joe. I'd already found each of those, but you prompted me to go back over them and butt my head against it some more til I finally nailed it.

My apologies Jojo.
I got the swing of it now and am steaming through the score.
@picoallen, If I understand, use the attachment to check (How to do it: in Jojo's links)

Thanks Shoichi, that helped me get my quavers and semiquavers in the right order.
