Hand-change lines in a piano score
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction please:
I'm transposing a piano score, and it has lines directing the player to play notes written on the bass clef with the right hand (so, playing in treble clef then a line going \ to the base clef notes, followed by a line going / to indicate moving back to playing in treble clef... hope that makes sense!) but I haven't been able to find a way to do this within MuseScore.
Example shown below, as indicated by the yellow arrows within the red circle.
Can anyone please help? I'd be very grateful.
Thanks

For one you could/should enter them in top staff and then move down using cross staff notation, then you could 'missuse' straight glissando lines for those and disable their playback via Inspector

Rather than a glissando, in the lines palette pick the regular simple line.

Works too, but is difficult to place right, and to keep placed right on later edits or layout changes, as these lines don't snap to the nothead. No such issue with glissandi

+!
Actually, there is a better choice, or would be if it worked as expected here - the seldom-used "note anchored line", available only through the Add / Lines menu. Select both notes using Ctrl+click, add the line. It shows up oddly placed, but if you move it into position, it behaves as it should, and adjusts automatically just like a gliss line. I've never been sure about the intended use case for this line to be able to figure out what the default layout is trying to achieve. Not sure if it's just assuming the same 5sp offset that ordinary text lines (also arbitrarily) get or what

It is apparenyly assuming that -5sp offset, as changing it in Inspector to 5sp is exactly what is needed to make it work properly. I think this a) should get fixed and b) this line should get added to the lines palette.
(offset seems to be -6sp in master)

Oooh; that is a very sneaky and handy tucked away line there. I've always had to play with the "normal" line and fiddling to reach the desired effects. Adding it to the lines palette would indeed be desirable.
Thank you to all of you for your help. I have used the "note anchored line" as suggested, and it is perfect!
I'm very grateful for each of your help - the brainstorming helped me understand this whole issue better.
Thanks again.
