Recover lost score
Hey everyone,
I've recently been working on an arrangement and when I shut down my computer, turned on my computer and opened up Musescore, my arrangement that I've been working on is gone. I save my work every 5 minutes so I don't know why this happened. I already tried going through the entire musescore help section and tried all of the possible solutions and none worked. I really don't want to have to recreate the rest of the piece as I have already spent many hours working on it. Any and all help will be truly grateful
Thank you,
J. De Soto Jr.

No ".score.mscz," on your computer? No autosaved version?

Nothing. I seached my entire computer. The only thing I found was the version that I did 5 days ago. Since then I have put many hours in creating more music. I would really rather not lose all of that progress.

Well, if it isn't anywhere on your computer and you haven't also stored is somewhere else (like on a thumb drive, on MuseScore.com via Save online, or on some cloud store, I'd highly recommend any of these), I'm afraid it is gone.
If on Windows, also see:

Also, a modified search (e.g. for files created yesterday, or this week) might be helpful.
Regards.
If you are sure you saved it but cannot find it normally, it's probably in the "virtual store" - a place Windows puts files sometimes after something has gone wrong and it can't save them to the specified location (like if the folder was removed or the permissions changed etc). This can happen if, for example, a crash occurs and you elect to recover your last session but don't do a "save as" to put the recovered file somewhere else.
So, look up about "virtual store" and see if that helps.
