Add a "note name" box on desktop.
At the moment I am working on a larger band score. I have the zoom set so I can see all instruments at once in continuous mode.
I have changes on all instrument lines.
I have parts where the written part goes a few leger lines above the staff.
Visually, sometimes the note is obscured by the chord name.
At those time it would be convenient to have a place on the desktop that said, for example, "E" for easier alteration.

Move that (or all) chord symbols up. Or use ottava lines to move the notes down

Thank you, I know :). I'm trying to avoid those sorts of kludges.
I'm not sure what you mean by "desktop", but if you have a note selected in the current score, the note name does appear in the status bar at the bottom of the main MuseScore window.

I don't see that in continuous mode.

You should, perhaps your window is too big and the status bar is below the visible area of your desktop? Try moving or resizing your window to be sure it fits within the desktop.

You can enable/disable display of the status bar in the View-menu. Perhaps you had turned it off previously?

Deselect and select again.
Sometimes it works.

ah - HAA!
Worked, thank you.
It's a bug. I'm not sure how to phrase a bug report.

This has been mentioned before. I'm not sure if it was in a forum or bug report. In any case, unless you can reproduce this it will need a status of needs info. Maybe someone will be able to recreate the problem.

It was indeed reported pretty recently, but I can't find it either. Pretty sure it was the forum. It seems maybe someone found a way to reproduce this behavior, but I'm not sure about that.
