Re-open file at same point it was closed
This is probably obvious but I can't find an option to do this - every time I re-open a file it goes back to the beginning, can I set it to re-open at the same position it was last closed?

Shame, I'm editing a large dense score and no matter how hard I try to remember which measure and part I was working on I always forget the next time I come to open it. :)

Try using a Rehearsal mark?

Excellent idea Shoichi! You can name it anything you want. As long as it doesn't start with R or P you can use ctrl-F then start to type it and MuseScore will go there.
In addition: But you'll quickly find the position in your score by entering the measure number via Ctrl+F (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/keyboard-shortcuts#score-navigation)
If you're composing and looking for the last measure with notes, turn on multi measure rests (by pressing M if needed), press end, use the wheel on the mouse to scroll up until you see the end of the song then press M to turn multi-measure rests back off.
One additional note, If you close MuseScore without closing your score and have continue last session in the preferences, your score will reload in the same spot it was previously at.

That's pretty much what I was looking for as I tend to work on one score at a time, so I'll try that out, thanks. :)
