How to type "Dal segno [segno sign] al [coda sign]"
Hello everyone
I'm trying to transcribe a piece with some weird (to me) repeats. At the very last measure, the text "Dal segno [segno sign] al [coda sign]" appears, but I don't know how to type that in MuseScore. Can anyone help with that, please?
The attachment is as far as I got.
FWIW, it should go like this: measure 1 to 9, then measure 10 to 17, then measure 10 to 18 (skip 17), then measure 19 to 26, then measure 27 to 34, then measure 19 to 26 again, but back to the start, measure 1 to 9, then measure 10 to 17, then measure 10 to 18 (skip 17), and that ends it.
Thanks!

There is something strange, I think you don't have the whole sheet music :
1. The inscription Del Signo an d Coda is placed under the last ligne of music, normally it must be above this ligne, so , I believe , there is 1 or more lignes after.
I suppose there is one more ligne under what you have, with at the end of this ligne, the "Del Signo to Coda", after, you must have the CODA, and at the end of this CODA a "Da Capo" , so , you will jump to the beginning (I dont know if a Da Capo is possible at the end of a CODA.
For the inscriptios Del Digno, you find it in the Palette, there is no the sign, only the inscription Del signo to coda. You must also write the "To Coda" (in the same palette) at the place of the coda sign.
Sorry for my Frenglish.......

Aah, it's a booby-trapped sheet, then!
And... it is clear now that the way our choir sings it is not the official way. Okay, thanks for your comments -- I'll digest it.
FWIW: I managed to get the piece to do more what I wanted, except for one tiny little issue that remains (the section between start-repeat and end-repeat should repeat the second time as well, but it doesn't). I'll figure it out, or ask a separate question that relates to that specific issue.
Thanks again.

Jumps don't take repeats currently, there will be such an option in the next major version of MuseScore though.

When there is a repeat, in a piece, and also a jump to the beginning with DS to segno, after the jump for this DS , the repeat is not done, it's the rule, no only in MuseScore.

I have seen D.S. al Coda written the lines, mostly in hand written music so the D.S. may be on that measure. I agree there is probably something missing since there is no Coda section. If there is not more music, then it is also the possibility that someone wrote this not understanding that the coda sign is never synonymous with fine.
With this link I think you have the whole sheet music https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/das-klinget-so-herrlich-digital-sh…

Thanks -- I do sometimes use an online sheet as a basis, but most often the music I have on paper is not the same as the one in the web :-)
