Small note-head … one note at time?
Hi there,
I needed to select a group of notes and make their note-head small, but whenever I select more than one note, all the note options disappear fm the inspector, leaving only color and visibility. Am I missing something?

This happens if you select more than just noteheads

"but whenever I select more than one note, all the note options disappear fm the inspector"
And so, eg if you select one measure or more (or a range selection), you have to click on the "Notes" tab at the bottom of the panel (image below)

Exactly. I need small note-heads on a couple of bars filled with eight notes, and as it is now it's a 32 clicks job with a bit of traveling fm notes to inspector.
But strangely enough, if I select a group of notes and then I double click on any of the NOTEHEAD's PALETTE, it happen exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately the "small notehead" is not on the palette so maybe it just need to be added. Unless I'm missing something …

Small notehead is in Inspector.
So, with Inspector opened.
1) Select the couple of bars with eighth notes
2) Press "Notes" button at the bottom of the panel (as said/shown previously)
2) Tick "Small" (Note section) in Inspector (image below)
And so, you receive the small noteheads as expected.

Found it, thank you . For the sake of the conversation, shouldn't the small note-heads (also) located in the note-heads panel? I'm asking cos as MScore is arranged, that's the place where I went first to find it.

Many items in the score have the option of being small, not just note heads. Most items are made small in the inspector. The exception that comes to mind first is a small staff that is made small in staff properties and has no options in the inspector.

In a nutshell, "small" is not equal to "shape(s)" of the notehead.

Also, and perhaps more importantly, you usually don't actually want only the note heads small. You want entire chord small - including accidentals, stem, flag, beam, etc. Merely making the note heads small would look wrong most of the time.
Sone sure to enable the small option in the Chord section of the Inspector, not the Note section (unless you really do literally want to affect the notehead).
