How to change measures per system.
I found how you can move a measure down to the next system. How do I move a measure up to the previous system.
Also: How do I change from the default 4 measures per system to 8 measures per system?

Buona musica!
For the record, there is no default number of measures per system. by default, MuseScore spaces things automatically, fitting as many measures per system as standard engraving practices allow. However, you can override that using layout stretch and line breaks. The default empty score that opens when you first start MuseScore uses line breaks to achieve four bars per system, but you can simply remove those. Or better yet, create a score with File / New and an appropriate template rather than starting with the default empty score.
