how to change size of Bar when normal way doesnt work
I have a score in which 2 bars are extremely large compared to the others. I have tried the way musiscore wants me to use but it doesn't work. shift + { does not have any effect....

It is best to attach the score and tell which bars are not shrinking.
Having said that, if the are too many short (16th, 32nd...) notes in the measures, it is possible that you will need to use other techniques to force more measures in the system. It is also possible you have inserted a line break or page break (which can be seen when you check "Show Unprintable" in the view menu). The are other possibilities but it would be necessary to examine the score to know for sure.
