Note stems - disappearing
Why? Is there a quicker way to reverse this other than clicking on each note and pressing 'v' ?
Thanks.

Note - in the full score, this is not the case - just in the 'parts' created.

You can right click a stem, the use select->all similar elements. Then in the inspector check (or possibly uncheck then recheck) visible to make all of the stems visible. If you have use measure properties to make items stemless, then us the same measure properties to remove the stemless feature. Finally you may of use the stemless option in the inspector for notes. Select everything, then chose the notes button then scroll down to where the stemless option is and (check if necessary then) uncheck stemless. I might be missing a way to make notes stemless, but I don't remember.

Thanks.
To be clear, though, note stems don't generally disappear on their own - they disappear only if you take explicit action to hide them. So the way to "reverse" this is to not have hidden them in the first place :-)
If you think you are encountering a case where stems are disappearing on their own, please attach your score and describe the problem in more detail so we can investigate.

Will do. I took no action to cause this though.

Maybe not on purpose, but my point is, this doesn't happen normally, so something unusual must have triggered this. Could be a bug (corrupted scores have been known to do things like this), could be a setting you made that you didn't understand the effect of. So when you do post the score, try to remember anything relevant you can think of that might have triggered it.

Sometimes imported scores have strange options, like invisible stems and so forth.

I understand but I typed it in.

Then you must have done something to make the stems invisible. You may have pressed V after selecting a stem or stems. My methods for restoring the stems did not include pressing V, but rather made all stems visible. V will toggle the visibility of almost anything you select, so if you select 3 stems and 2 are visible and press V you will end up with 1 visible and 2 not.
Did you make your stems visible? If so, which method restored them? Answering these questions can help determine what you did to make the stems invisible so we can help you avoid it in the future.

For the record, and @spojaw: you have opened an identical topic - and same title - there is some months, with an attached file, and following by some replies/suggered explanations: https://musescore.org/en/node/260656
In what is different with this "new" topic?
