MIDI not working
Hi,
I am using a Yamaha YPG 535 keyboard. Keyboard "out" is set to "on", MIDI cable plugged in and it is detected. I open up MuseScore and put it on "real time, manual" note input setting, click the button so it's activated, and no notes come out. I am not really sure how to integrate these two so it works. Any help?
Thank you!!

Start MuseScore (this must be done after the keyboard is switched on)

Went to preferences, and realized that under "MIDI input" the drop down menu had no options. MIDI input is enabled under note input so not sure why it's not detecting

I had connected IN to IN and OUT to OUT
verify that it can detect your keyboard. If it does, MuseScore should detect it as well
Let's us know.

Hi,
I realized after lots of digging the problem - device manager opened, detected the piano but driver software not installed. I installed from Yamaha, rebooted MuseScore and now it works fine. Thank you for your help!!

Thank you for feedback. Buona musica!
I'm trying to use my Roland RD. I have installed the Midi/USB interface driver the "Midi in" on the hub starts flashing when plugged in so there appears to be SOME communication. However, in the preferences, my interface device is not found and, of course, I am not able to input anything via keyboard - real or step time. In other words, NO midi or out. ARGHHHH
