XML import created unwanted rests at end of bar
I created a score in Finale and exported to Musescore through xml. Additional rests occurred that I can't delete. (In Finale I had to add extra rests to create the triplet on the final beat which are not seen in the Finale score, but show up in the xml import to musescore.) .

please share the xml file

I can't share the file because I'm working on a new edition of a copyrighted work. I solved the problem by adding a new bar and only copying in the desired notes, but wondered if there is another way to handle it. Thanks for the fast response!

Without a sample file it'd be impossible to find where the issue is
The measure I copied actually does not have a triplet on the final beat as I mentioned, so it happened in other circumstances too.

As mentioned, without the MusicXML file - even just an excerpt from the score, which should present no copyright issues - there is little we can do to understand if this is a problem or if we are simply doing what Finale is asking us to do. That said, it's very likely you can fix the issue by right-clicking the measure, Measure Properties, and setting the "Actual" duration properly.
