Keyboard shortcuts for intervals are out of order in the keyboard shortcut definition pane
When going into MuseScore preferences, the list of all possible commands that can be mapped to a keyboard shortcut is in alphabetical order. This causes a problem with the shortcuts for intervals, since the numbers are spelled out, so they are not in numerical order. Rather than implement some method of giving each command a display name and a sort name, it would be best to change them from "Second" to "2nd" and "Ninth" to "9th", so they appear in numerical order in the shortcut definition pane, rather than in the alphabetical order of the spelling of ordinal numbers.

Sounds interesting, but still not clear how to internationalize this solution.

To internationalize it use 3rd for English, 3e for French, 3a for Spanish and so on. This is if the shortcut names are translated.
Won't work for German: Prime, Sekunde, Terz, Quarte, Quinte just can't get exchanged with 1., 2., 3., etc. without becoming intelligible

I didn't realize there was a language where it wouldn't work. Since it's alphabetized there is no other way to put the numbers in the correct order.
If the translation is possible then my idea would be fine for every language that allows 1st, 2nd and so forth.
