Palette
Since I downloaded the current version of Musescore, the palette no longer appears as a fixture to the left of the score. How do I change this? Thanks. Sandy

Revert to factory settings. Or open the palette from the view menu
If it is present you can drag it anyway, see: https://musescore.org/en/node/26236 .

So if I understand this correctly, I cannot have a 'fixed' palette on the left side of a score. I know how to get it but would like it to come up each time I open a new score. Thanks.

That is without reverting to the older version of Musescore ?

To be clear, there was no change to any of this whatsoever in any update. You must have accidentally closed or moved the palette window at around the same time as the update, but it's just coincidence.

I understand but it happened. Anyway, someone solved the problem. Thanks.
By the way, you asked me to let you know about my problem with crashing. It happens only when I work for several hours on one score. So I guess I should take a break !!

Double click on the top, near the the word 'Palettes' when it becomes undocked from the left of the score.
