Portamento more questions-att jeetee

Referring to the following question/answer-

I was able to insert the 7-note portmento, but when I try to write the last 8th note chord in two voices, the treble flag attaches into the portamento, forming a beam. I was able to write one bass voice chord as shown, but that is not satifactory-I need F in the bass and A and C in the treble on one stem. How do I do that without the treble beaming into the portamento?

Hello,
Set A and C in Voice 1, as you want -> Select the A -> In Beam properties palette: eg double-click first symbol (Start Beam)
Result: 1Jeanie With The Light Bown Hair-2_0.mscz
