high tenor notes above high C won't play!
Help!
I wrote a four-part harmony barbershop song and just opened it up to export the audio, but for some reason the tenor (highest note in the treble staff) won't play anything higher than high C! I had this happen about a year ago but I don't remember what I did to fix it. Actually, I probably just tossed it and started over since I was still learning at that time. This one has me baffled! Thanks.

It's probably the sound font you have installed. Some sound fonts have only a limited number of notes for instruments. Try a different sound font. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/soundfonts-and-sfz-files

Thanks, Mike.
Oddly, after shutting the program down and coming back to the chart five minutes later, it worked just fine! I'd still like to know what would cause that - if it's something I did or just a bug in the system. If anybody else has input, I'd love your thoughts, as well!

Oh shoot, it just occurred to me what you meant by that! And boom, you were right on! I looked at the sound font, and it was playing in flute, whereas I had previously had the tuba selected when the problem was happening and before I closed down the program. So I just switched it back to tuba to see if I could replicate the problem, and sure enough - it happened again! So at least I know I can't use the tuba sound font in the treble clef (for the higher notes). Thanks, again, Mike! <3
