Constrain long text to a frame
Is there some way to introduce a long text inside a box or frame so that it automatically jumps to the next line when reaching the right margin? I mean something like https://musescore.org/en/node/24475, but for MuseScore 2.
In such a case, is it possible to ensure full justification (right and left)?

No, neither word wrap nor block justification is implemented in no MuseScore version up to the latest development builds

Thank you. Any known easy workaround?

add the line breaks by hand and add spaces for block align by hand :-/

I'm afraid I suspected that. It would be nice to have these elementary word processing capabilities added, so one could complete a full publishing project from inside MuseScore.

While I agree word wrap would make sense to add, I think you'd quickly find it still isn't nearly enough for most "full publishing projects" (if by that you mean, something like a textbook that combines text and music). Without features like search/replace, definable paragraph and character styles, and all the other niceties we almost take for granted, you still wouldn't be able to do anything but the simplest of examples. So there is a bit of a slippery slope here. That said, if there was one thing to add that would give the biggest bang for the buck, it would be word wrap indeed.

No, I don't mean a textbook but a score with a foreword, say, not longer than a couple of pages. If only word wrap and justification were granted, it would be enough to be able to complete the project within MuseScore. I agree that probably a textbook would be far too much with such limited features but with all the installed fonts available , the possibility of inserting graphics and moving around text blocks you could certainly do a decent work.

@fmiyara, as I get older I'm afraid I always repeat (badly) the same things:
Merge preface and score with PDFsam;
Prepare the text with Libreoffice and insert it as an image.
(just ideas for a workaround)

Thank you. The first one is what I regularly do. The second is a good possibility to have it all in a MuseScore file, with the problem that it is not editable and resolution freezes and is not independent of zoom.

Yeah, just a trick. From Inspector you can set 'Scale to frame size' but you'll have to use a very good quality image.

Could convert the text into an SVG, that would scale as needed and always be sharp and crisp

That's a good one! Thank you!

Does anyone know if this is possible with Pages on a Mac? I know how to export from Pages as Word doc or PDF, but don't see how to export as image.
