Oct 2018 new master palette fly out?
It seems the master palette is
now a larger less dockable thing...
am I missing something? Kind of
a drag, can't shrink ..... I am running
most recent now 10-27-18 but had
skipped an update or 2...

Most recent still is 2.3.2. No change to master palette as far as I know.
Unless you're talking about development builds, but those are discussed I'm the technology preview forum.

Wow, thanks Jojo....2.3.2 yes, but now that master palette is bigger and less
dockable.....the regular palette is just fine, is dockable....but I need to use
the master palette and it now covers about 1/2 of the working area....
cant manually shrink it either....hmmmm

I don't really unserstand what you're talki9ng about, to me the master palette in 2.3.2 looks the same as in 2.1.0 and 2.0.3, and that is going back far more than just one or two versions, see yourself (images taken after making the window as small as possible):
