Copy/paste lyrics in score with tabs
Two questions:
I've got a score with tabs and I've put some lyrics in. When I write the lyrics, I can do it once (just between score and tabs or just under the tabs). But when I copy(cut)/paste, the lyrics appear twice: below the score as well as below the tabs. It's just one instrument. I don't need it twice.
1) How can I prevent that double placement?
2) How can I delete one of them without deleting the other?
copy(cut):

I think it's a side effect of Linked Staff, try right-click on the lyrics->selection->more->Del
Or use the selection filter before copy?
Edit, sorry this does not work
Could you attach here your score?

I can do 'Select' with 'All Similar Elements in Same Staff', and only one block gets selected. But always both are deleted.

Use an unlinked TAB staff.
Open this attachment in MuseScore: Lenny Kravitz - Always On The Run2.mscz
Select all the lyrics on page 1, then paste into the first measure of the EB5 bass clef (not TAB clef) on page 2.
Regarding unliked staves...
I don't know what your workflow is - whether you prefer TAB entry or note entry - but, either way, copy/paste works from TAB staff to Standard Notation staff and vice versa. (As you know, linked staves does this automatically.)
Lyrics can be pasted to either staff without being duplicated.
Regards.

Thanks, Jm6stringer. A very good workaround for the double lyrics on paste.
But it comes with a little cost: changing pitch is no longer linked. I have to keep that in mind.
My preference is note entry (and note reading). But I have to use whatever my teacher and the student band give me.
