When opening the following .mid file, MuseScore always crashes:
http://www.deimos.ca/miscjunk/pianoteq-bluesdemo.mid
My info:
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0., revision: 7694abc

I am able to open, import and play your .mid file with no issues in
Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0.3908, revision: 51ee965
@sambaji : The beta is 3.0.0.4022 though, 7694abc, no idea from where you may have gotten 3.0.0.3908?
Difference might be either the OS or release/stable vs development/unstable?
In reply to The beta is 3.0.0.4022… by Jojo-Schmitz
I downloaded it yesterday on https://musescore.org/en/download (link "AppImage for Linux").
I've just tried it with rev 7694abc downloaded today, and it still crashes.
My question was for @sambaji ...
So you confirm it crashes in the Beta. Does it in the latest development build too? bba364e
Nope, it does not. So still might be either the OS or release/stable vs development/unstable.
Hmm, not sure how AppImages are built though
Still I can't reproduce in latest (self-built) master (on Windows 7)
Nor in the Beta!
So the difference got to be the OS (or specific to AppImages)

Hi Jojo-Schmitz, It was jpfleury not me who originally submitted the bug report.
I had no problem with the file in Windows 10. Someone else needs to confirm the bug using a Linux distro.
I got that, but my question to you was no idea from where you may have gotten 3.0.0.3908?
To those who see a crash - is it just this MIDI file, or all MIDI files?
I'm assuming you can still open and use MuseScore normally otherwise, so I'm changing this from S1 to S2 as per the definitions of these terms in the instructions (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/developers-handbook/getting-started/h…).
Crash of the AppImage confirmed with the beta revision: 7694abc, but not with the last nightly revision: bba364e
It's not this specific score, it occurs with other midi files as well.
but apparently fixed in later versions...

Weird, eh? All I did was click on the clipboard icon in About Musescore and pasted in my post as in "OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0.3908, revision: 51ee965". I'll be updating to the latest nightly build.
