MuseScore 3: Section Breaks and Plugins not working
I installed MuseScore 3 yesterday, and am continuing work on a score I started using MuseScore 2. The score contains 30 section breaks, and none of them work at all. Instead of pausing for the standard 3 seconds, it moves right on to the next section. Another issue is lack of support for plugins. I used the Tempo Changes plugin quite frequently, and am unable to do so on MuseScore 3, despite putting it in the plugins folder. MuseScore 3 is promising in terms of layout and accessibility, but has a long way to go in regards to much simpler aspects.

With the benefit of inventory:
Right-click on section breaks (properties) and adjust the duration;
Use the Tempo Changes plugin on V2 then open with V3.0.1.

I have expanded the duration to 10 seconds, with no success. I attempted to install the plugin, and it gave me this error: "Cannot read file C:\Users\martin\Documents\MuseScore3\Plugins\TempoChanges.qml:
unknown type"

Then you haven't installed it properly, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins#installation
But note: it won't work for MuseScore 3 (not yet at least)

Have you tried changing "import MuseScore 1.0" - "import MuseScore 3.0"?

That alone does not help, not for that plugin. Wait for MuseScore 3.0.3 and the necessary adjustments to that plugin
Plugins are expected to work in version 3.0.2 when it's released in a couple of weeks.
As for the section breaks. When you select one, is the delay set to 3 seconds when you right click one and open section break properties?

The standard is 3 seconds, yes. I also tried a 10 second delay with no success

Strange, new section breaks kind of work. Rather than a pause the act like a fermata. Sounds like a bug report is needed at https://musescore.org/en/node/add/project_issue?pid=1236. If you could do that, I've got another one I'm working on that's a bit more complicated.

Indeed, the section break's pause seems to get ignored. Probably the same reason as for #281909: Caesuras and sections breaks don't cause pauses in playback
