Visual Swing symbol is lost when score is saved

I have added a visual swing marking top my score as decribed in 'How to create a visual swing marking' of the handbook (https://musescore.org/en/node/266325) and resized it so that is a useful size. Unfortunately when I save my score, close it and re-open it the visual swing marking has disappeared.
