Section Break's pause is executed in a strange, illogical way...
Hi there!
There is something that I can't understand (see attached file):
When a "D.C. al Fine" happens to coincide with a given Section's end, that Section's end does pause, only BEFORE executing the D.C. not AFTER the "Fine", as intended! This always happened in v. 2.x, and I only hoped it would be different with 3.0.4 (the version I used for the attached test).
Is there a logic I'm missing?! Is there a work around?! Am I missing an option within the Inspector??!!
Thanks a million <3

Could it be a workaround to add a 'Sign' and make it invisible?

I downloaded the amended file, but there is no difference whatsoever! Have you listened to the original?
Besides, I'm afraid the new "Segno" might just interfere with the structure of the new Section...

I'm sorry I misinterpreted.
Would you like a break before measure 13?
Right click on the section break->section break properties... and set "pause" to "0" .

mmmmmmmm...
But this only removes the pause, and makes the Section Break a mere visual thing! I mean, should I export to Audio, there will be no pause between the two Sections...
The problem as I can see it is that "D.C. al Fine" has a lower priority to the "Section Break", so the Section Break's pause is respected before the D.C. is executed. Logically, though, the pause should happen after the "Fine" is reached, and before actually starting the new Section.

An attempt

OK, thanks for the info :-) At least, now I know someone will end up finding a solution.
I thought I could work around my problem, but alas...

In the file above (TestTer) I added the measure after the section break.
