Instrument suggestion and question
Question first. Can an instrument be defined (in version 2, my MacBook is too old to run ver. 3) that is diatonic, rather than chromatic? I'm trying to TAB music for mountain dulcimer. As long as I don't play back music, I've had a fair amount of success. The problem I am having on one piece is that the program won't let me enter the tab number I want for the second voice, although it did on a previous piece. It just puts a 0 no matter what number I type.
So, suggestion. Possibly add diatonic Mountain dulcimer (in DAd and DAa) tunings with tablature. Also with the ability to add the occasional chromatic half fret in tab, possibly noted with "+"; ex: 6+ or 1+ (actual chromatic frets 11 and 3, respectively).
Maybe I just need to pony up and buy TablEdit, but I don't think I can do multiple voices with that. I'm new to MuseScore (5 days in) but I love it!
Thanks for any information you have.

What version of MacOS does your MacBook run? It's possible there is a version 3 that will run on it. This is important, because version 2 will no longer get updates and no version will allow you to define tablature for diatonic instruments. I'm pushing to get that changed at some point in version 3.
The request for diatonic instruments in located at #153016: add mountain dulcimer incl. a tab preset. I'm adding your request to it.

See https://musescore.org/en/node/281472#comment-901512. What this means is that if you use the version at this link, you do so at your own risk. It should work and I'm guessing the person will continue updating it in the near future so if diatonic instruments become available, you should be able to use that version, thought there are no guarantees.
