- The handbook shows an extended slur can be made by clicking the start note in one staff, then the end note in another.

- Using MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.5.21343, revision: 58dd23d, it doesn't work. The slur is drawn incorrectly as you can see in the attached PNG.

Confirmed, I'm pretty sure this did work at a time, hence marking as a regression

Sure? Here, I never see it working, neither in 2019 nor in 2018 for example.

In MuseScore2, yes, of course. I thought you were marking the regression from Version 3, for something that would have been broken somewhere.
I don't have a MuseScore 3 version prior to 3.0.5 at hand (anymore), so can't tell whether those might have dealt with this properly
