I'm experiencing this problem too with cpm186_06_ne_recorderis.mscz.
When I change to Continuous View, tempo settings (41, 232 BPM) are ignored, music plays at 120 BPM.
My workaround: select Page View, save and reopen file. Unfortunately, this does not help with minotaur.mscz.
Delete all parts and listen again.

Regenerating Klavierauszug did not fix my problem :(
Steps to reproduce: Delete part Klavierauszug from cpm186_04_memento_mei.mscz, save and reopen.
Create part Klavierauszug. Playback is ok.
Select Klavierauszug, Continuous view, goto bar 19 (section 2, Fugato), music is played with 120 instead of 240.

Currently, there are specific playback problems known in Continuous-view.
But the file you've added (Master and Klavierauszug part) plays smoothly on my computer (both on Page-View and Continuous View).
In addition, the tempo also changes normally.
There's a need for other testers to try and tell us if there's a problem.
Maybe related to #285496: Tempo defaulting to 120bpm?
@Peter Vu
yes, probably related to #285496. But the workaround "regenerate parts" suggested there does not work for my files.
Original import was from the attached midi file, same problem, music is played with 120 bpm instead of 80 according to the tempo marking. See attached problem step recording.
I even tried to run Musescore in an Ubuntu18-VM (Vmware Player) in order to get rid of the problem. Nope.
Details of my laptop:
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.5.5992, revision: 58dd23d
Microsoft Windows [Version 1809 Build 10.0.17763.379]
Display 2560x1440 210 dpi
PC model Lenovo 20JD005WG
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.5., revision: 58dd23d
Works for me, only difference: I leave it at UTF-8
@Jojo-Schmitz
Are you saying that on your PC 80 BPM is displayed in the play panel in steps 21 and 22? Big Riddle.
yes
