A Little Help with Repeats, Please!!!
Hi, Gang!!!
I use MuseScore 3.0.5 in Ubuntu Studio 18.04.2 LTS (64 bit Linux).
Maybe, long time ago I did it but... My neurons are too slow now!!!
I add a melodic line base of an old (but very interesting) Chilean folklore style song (not mine, it is from 1966) where... I don't know how to get what I want to get.
This is what I want:
1) Intro.
2) Chorus.
3) Bridge A.
4) Verse.
5) Bridge B.
6) Chorus.
7) Bridge A.
8 Verse.
9) Bridge B.
10) Chorus.
11) Bridge A.
12) Verse.
13) Bridge B.
14) Chorus.
15) Bridge C.
16) Coda.
The problem is, as you can see in the file, the Chorus part has a repetition itself (it is that way). This is "the" problem.
How could i get the exposed sequence? ???

The end repeat at the end ofg Bridge B doesn't have a matching start repeat. Guess you want a D.S. with repeats there and a Segno at the start of Chorus. You want that D.S. to be taken twice, but MuseScore has no means for that though, so this part won't work.
You then want a D.S al Code at the same spot as the D.S on the 3rd round, a To Coda at the end of the Chorus and move the Coda to the start of Bridge C. This won't playback either, conflicts tieh the D.S.
So this entire roadmap is to complex for MuseScore to figure out and may be to complex for musicians too, even if explained via some system text

The "road map" of this song is this way:
Intro - ||: Chorus - Bridge A - Verse - Bridge B :|| - Bridge C - Coda
The issue is that the repeat part (3 times) contains the chorus, which has a repeat itself!!!
How could I get it? ???

As I tried to explan: you don't. Repeat barlines don't nest and every start repeat must have a matching end repeat (with an implicit start repeat at the 1st measure of a section and an implicist end repeat at its end)
That here the 2nd end repeat jumps back to the start repeat is more or less a bug. Or a symptom of them not nesting.

I did it, but... Something I missed!!!
Now I get 2 repetitions and... Inmediately the Coda.

Play cound of the measure containing the end repeat barline is 2, needs to be 3
Repeat list of the volta needs to be 1,2, not 1,2,3

This roadmap is quite easily achieved with a small volta trick. There are no nested repeats here, but simply to volta's with the same start repeat (entirely valid). See attachment.
Chorus will be played 4 times in total, and we do want the first volta there to be taken each time as well, executing the end repeat mark. The volta gets repeat list
1, 3, 5, 7and the measure a play count of5.Next up is the volta 2 at the end of the chorus. It is played just as much as the first volta, but on every other repeat; so it gets the repeat list
2, 4, 6, 8.Now the trick is that from bridge A to the end repeat marking of bridge B, you only want to playback the first 3 times you get there, the last time, this part should be skipped and forward you straight to m28/bridge C.
This is exactly what a volta does, playing back a part only on a given repeat. So add an open-ended volta to m12 (start of bridge A) and give it a repeat list of
2, 4, 6. Now also change the play count of m27 to honor the repeat marking there to a value of4.Playback now does what you wanted it to do. You'll probably want to mark the additional volta invisible and add a staff text so your musicians now to jump to C instead of A on the last playthrough!

But... The bar number 10, which is basically the same as bar number 28, should not sound at the final volta (when we go to the Coda). It is supposed replace with the bar number 28.
It is an issue I don't know how to solve (because, your genius mind is too much in a higher level than mine!!!).

The final time the chorus IS repeated (as the other times). The problem is... The original song idea is to go from the chorus directly to the coda ONLY that last time.
In other words, something is missed, here. But... I cannot to figure out what!!!

The idea is to play the chorus (including its repetitions) 4 times. 3 times with the verse and the last time without the verse (going directly to the Coda).
But... I cannot to get this way!!! Sniff, Sniff!!! (See the file)
BTW: Not related with the volta problems, I have two questions derivative from the original song score:
1) There are slightly rhythmic variations from verse 1 to verse 2 and verse 3. It is due to different number of syllable of the used words by the poet. Question: Is there some universal standard way to write it in the staff? Maybe some special text indication? Maybe notes inside parenthesis? Something else? ??? I just can figure out to use voice two with a minor size, but... I don't know if it used that way.
2) There is a place when we need to use more than a voice (it is called here a second voice, but it is something like a voice "off the studio"). I try to use different velocity to voice 1 and 2 in this place, but... The final result is not what I want. I want to get a sound like inside a far reverberation chamber, but only to that voice, in this part. Can we get that? How? ???

Regarding 1) you can use ties or slurs and set the line to be dashed in the Inspector. I have seen that in some liturgical music to denote different number of syllables in different verses.

OK, so you wrote skip m10 the last time, but you actually meant m11; slightly different ;-)
It becomes even easier with the volta approach then, as all you need is the 2nd volta to be open and have the correct repeat list. No need for the hidden volta anymore.

BTW: it isn't related with the tune itself... I exported it to compressed music xml format (*.mxl), to be readable in MuseScore 2.3.2, but... It gaves me an error (something related with some "tie"). Is it a bug? ???
Finally, with the forum help, I get the full score (and I fix a wrong chord, too)!!!
BTW: Now I understand the "almost" nested loops (voltas). But... Isn't it a nested loop? ???

Multiple endings aren't the same as nested repeats. With nested repeats you'd have more than one start-repeat for which it is unclear when which one should be taken.
|: 1 |: 2 | 3 :| 4 :| is such an example, where under current rules (without any written instructions) the playback will be 1, 2, 3, 2, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4 and the first start repeat bar is not used.
Although here as well, using voltas (while strictly speaking alternative endings) can in MuseScore be used to force a given playback order, you'll need a lot more information for your human musicians to be able to follow the roadmap.
