How to get different dynamics effects to right and left hands in a standard piano grand staff? ???
Hi, gang!!!
I use Musescore 3.1 Beta (portable AppImage) in Ubuntu Studio 18.04.2 LTS (64 bit Linux).
I have an score, a very beautiful piece from Perry Botkin, Jr. & Barry de Vorzon (it has copyrights involved so I am not publishing it, it is just to my personal use), which is included here, and I discovered I cannot get a real different dynamics audible effects to left and right hands in the piano grand staff.
If I put a "forte" (example) into the right hand staff, it affects both staves of the piano (both hands).
Of course, I know it could be fixed using two pianos and eliminate treble clef in one and bass clef in the other, but... It is not the idea!!!
I thing I missed something in the way with this issue, so... A little help, please!!!
Blessings and Greetings from Chile, South America!!!

Oops!!!
I think I wrote to fast!!!
I tested your tip, but... It didn't work!!!
Just in case, I tested using "System" and... Nothing changed!!!
Please... hear the attached file.

System makes the dynamic apply to all staves in the system. Part applies the dynamic to all staves on the instrument and staff (pentagrama) applies only to the current staff.

Hi, mike320!!!
I understand your explanation.
But... For some reason I don't know, this is not working here!!!
As you can hear in the file I uploaded, the dynamics marks into the treble clef of the piano also affects the bass clef of the instrument (even the fact I changed all those marks from "Part" to "Staff" into the Inspector). So...

You only changed some of them, and the ones you didn't change are conflicting. If you want the LH in measure 3 to be quiet, you need to set the RH dynamic to staff, otherwise it will override the ppp you changed in measure 1.

I did that!!!
I selected ALL those elements in the same staff and changed them to "Staff" in the Inspector!!
I did it to both, treble and bass clefs!!!
BUT... I doesn't work!!!

BTW: Just in case... Is there a way to get the audible effect of the Pedal? ??? It seems to me it is not change the played sounds, or... Am I wrong? ???

Pedal plays back just fine when added correctly. I don't see any here except on the last chord where it can't do any good.

Why not? ???
In a real piano, the mechanical pedal would extend the sound of that chord a lot of time more than what we can hear, here, at those last bars of this piece.

No, it wouldn't. You have it written to release the pedal at the end, so that's when the sound would stop. If you mean the sound might decay a bit slower before you release the pedal, because of all the sympathetic vibrations - well, it's true the MuseScore synths don't emulate that subtle effect. But the basic idea of sustaining notes until the pedal is released works just fine - you just didn't write anything like that. Try writing four quarter notes and put a pedal under the whole measure and you'll hear it clearly.
