Staff Properties option locks Musescore

I'm running 3.05. Just today, I right click on the staff and choose "staff properties" but no properties box comes up. What does happen is it completely locks me out of musescore. Clicking on the main windows makes the annoying beep because musescore thinks the properties box is open. I need to ctrl/alt/del in order to close the program.

I've tried the other right click options and they work fine. I've restarted the program and restarted my computer. I have also uninstalled musiescore and reinstalled it. Still doesn't work. Please help.
