3.1 blew up my computer
3.1 blew up my computer - checked avg doesn't seem to be the issue - this occurred after i tried to add new drum add-in - reloaded 3.0 and now it hangs for at least a full minute before it opens -

Revert to factory settings. The MDL extension is know to make MuseScore to take ages on startup, it is loading the huge Sfz soundfont that is the culprit
"blew up my computer" doesn't provide us much to go on. Can you be more specific about what is going wrong? Sample score and step by step instructions to reproduce a problem. if you just mean the slow startup for the MDL extension, this is indeed known, it's not new with 3.1, it's just a fact of life with large soundfonts.
thank you for the responses - it may well be the mdl on 3.1 but as i have loaded 3.05 back it is also hanging when it loads.
i will finish this project and then try 3.1.

They share settings, so also that soundfont
